A New Class of 3D-Reinforced Carbon Fiber Prepregs and Fabrics

Boston Materials manufactures a carbon fiber material (Supercomp) that enables higher performance at a 25% cost reduction compared to standard carbon fiber materials. This is achieved by using a mix of continuous and milled fiber, and a proprietary fiber alignment process. Boston Materials launched pilot production earlier in 2019 and will complete a twelve-fold production scale-up by Q2-2020 to support high-volume applications
